Join us on Sunday, March 2nd from 11am to 3pm for our first Grief Retreat of the year. This retreat will focus on weaving and mending around the fire together. We will have supplies for you to weave yarn and wreaths. If you have any clothes that you need to mend feel free to bring them, we’ll have sewing supplies for you.
So many of us are feeling a big wave of grief for the state of the world and along with that we are navigating personal griefs like the death of a loved one, the loss of a friendship, a breakup, and so on. The simple act of patching up a hole in a sock, weaving a circle out of saplings or pulling yarn together into a pattern can be extremely soothing activities for a hurt heart.
We will provide a simple lunch of hot soup, bread, tea blends and something sweet. And there will be plenty of time to hike around and connect with the land.
This is a free event. Food, beverages, and art supplies are provided. Please be sure to RSVP by sending us an email at wonderlandcommunityproject@gmail.com by February 28th so we know how much food and supplies we need.
*Please note that we don’t have running water or indoor structures but we do have a private compost toilet.
