September's Work Weekend!

This weekend is our work weekend! Volunteers are welcome to camp out overnight or come out on Saturday or Sunday. We will be focusing on community projects from 11-3 on both Saturday and Sunday.

Our project tasks are watering, clearing and mulching around our new trees, clearing and mulching in the kids area, working on fen restoration and clearing trails.

We will share about our work removing invasives and focusing on native plants and trees in the community area and fen. If you love nettles please come and harvest some! Our fen is full of delicious nettles that we need to remove to make space for the native grasses and flowers - so you will be doing the Land a favor! Also, Tom Simpson from the Conservation District will be talking about our efforts restoring the fen and he will do a demonstration on how to use a scythe on Saturday, if you would like to learn how to use this useful tool!

You might also want to try the new enclosure for our composting toilet 💩

Lunch is provided on Saturday and Sunday. Please RSVP by email at wonderlandcommunityproject@gmail.Com if you are coming to camp or just for the day so we can be sure to have enough food.

We will wrap up the weekend at 3pm on Sunday.

We hope to see you all!
